How to Set or Change Your PIN on your Handheld Device
This guide explains how to create, change, or remove the screen lock PIN on a Zebra TC22 or TC37 running Android. A screen lock PIN helps protect the device and company data from unauthorized access.

Removing the Screen Lock
- Open Settings.
- Select Security (or Security & Privacy, depending on the Android version).
- Tap Screen Lock.
- Select PIN.
- Enter a new PIN (a minimum of 4 digits is required; 6 digits or more is recommended for better security).
- Tap Next.
- Re-enter the PIN to confirm.
- Tap Confirm.
- Choose your preferred lock screen notification settings if prompted.
- Tap Done.
Changing an Existing PIN
- Open Settings.
- Navigate to Security > Screen Lock.
- Enter your current PIN when prompted.
- Select PIN.
- Enter your new PIN.
- Tap Next.
- Re-enter the new PIN to confirm.
- Tap Confirm.
Changing from a PIN to a Pattern or Password
- Open Settings.
- Go to Security > Screen Lock.
- Enter your current PIN.
- Select either:
- Pattern
- Password
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.
Removing the Screen Lock
Note: Removing the screen lock will leave the device unsecured.
- Open Settings.
- Navigate to Security > Screen Lock.
- Enter your current PIN.
- Select None.
- Confirm the change.
