How to Change the Name of a Device 

This guide explains how to change the terminal name within the Patronscan Guard application. The terminal name is what appears in Web Admin when scans are submitted and in system reports.

Steps

  1. Open Patronscan App on the device.

  2. Log in as an Admin user.

  3. Once logged in, select Settings. 

  4. In the top-left corner of the Settings page, you’ll see the Terminal Name field.

  5. Update the Terminal Name to the desired value.

    • This name will appear in:

      • Reports and scan records

         

Notes

  • Only users with Admin access can modify the terminal name.

  • Changes take effect immediately after saving.
