# How to connect AVA Camera to the DMP Portal

## Steps to Add a Camera to the Alta Portal:

1. **Access the Alta Aware Portal**
   
     - Open the Alta Aware Portal through the Direct Management Portal (DMP) or by logging in with your credentials.

2. **Add a New Device**
   
     - Navigate to the **Devices** section in the portal.
     - Click the **+** button and select the option to scan an Ava camera QR code.
3. **Scan the QR Code**
   
     - Locate the QR code on the box or the back of the camera.
     - Hold the QR code up to your webcam to scan it.

4. **Connect the Camera to Ethernet**
   
     - Use an Ethernet cable to connect the camera to your network.
